THE ASSEMBLY

GIMAC Network Assembly is composed of all 55 members, or participants. It meets every three to four years to review general policies; review and evaluate the network’s operation based on reports submitted to the Board.

THE BOARD

The Board is GIMAC Network's main governing body, comprises 18 organisations elected by the General Assembly from among the organisations that have joined the network and include the network founding  member  organisations.  The Board develops, adopts and evaluates the operational policies and programs for GIMAC Network activities. It also reviews and approves the work program (projects submitted for approval), making decisions by consensus.

SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE BOARD

The Supervisory Committee is appointed by the Board to carry out the duties as prescribed in the GIMAC Network bylaws as well as to ensure that the network meet required financial reporting objectives and establish practices and procedures sufficient sustain the network.

STANDING AND AD HOC COMMITTEES TO THE BOARD

The Network Board regularly establishes Committees, which consist of representatives from network members, experts and partners to assist it in its work. Standing Committees are open-ended and generally established to address certain procedural questions, such as the admission of new members. Ad hoc committees are established for a limited time and to address a specific issue.

THE SECRETARIAT

The Secretariat, which coordinates overall implementation of GIMAC Network activities, is led by Femmes Africa Solidarité. Among other responsibilities, it coordinates and oversees programs; ensures policies are implemented in consultation with the network’s governing bodies and coordinates network meetings to ensure effective collaboration among GIMAC members and partners;
